HUUM recommends rounded stones for its heaters because water can reach the inner layers rather than evaporating entirely at the surface. According to HUUM, this arrangement contributes to a milder steam experience while the dense natural stone provides high heat capacity and resistance to repeated temperature fluctuations. Each box contains 33 lb of rounded stones measuring 2–4 in (5–10 cm). The required quantity varies by HUUM heater model and should be determined from the heater's specified stone capacity.
